CREW AUDITIONS 2025/26

Crew auditions ARE
June 25th 2025 

JUNIOR AUDITION 12YRS AND UNDER 4:00-5:30PM

TEEN + VARSITY + SENIOR AUDITION 12-18YRS 5:30-7:00PM

Adult 18+ 7:00-8:30pm

*dancers in 4pm + 5:30pm audition may be asked to stay for the next audition

*audition sign up opens May 1st

Dancers will audition by age group and be placed in the appropriate crew based on factors such as age, skill level, dance style, and other relevant criteria. Previous season commitment, work ethic, attitude, and additional considerations will also play a role in determining placement for the upcoming season.

     Kids ages 5-9yrs, entry level

  2. Ruckus
    Youth ages 9-12yrs, open level

  3. Baseline
    Teen 12-18yrs, open level

  4. Unity
    Varsity 12-19yrs, experienced

  5. Regulators
    Junior Studio Team 16yrs and under, open/exp
     *large crew comprised of our jr/teen/varsity crews,

  6. Legacy
    Senior 12-19yrs, advanced

  7. Makaveli
    Senior-Adult 16yrs+, pre-professional

    Adult 18yrs+, advanced

    Elite Studio Team 14yrs+, advanced/elite

What we are about

Our Competitive Crew program has always been about creating a sacred atmosphere for a team to create strong, long lasting relationships in a supportive, focused environment where dancers grow both as artists and individuals, and deepen their understanding and respect for Hip Hop culture, history, and education.

While our recreational classes offer similar benefits, being part of an audition-based crew brings a higher level of commitment and accountability. We've witnessed dancers grow in profound ways, gaining confidence and life skills that extend far beyond the studio even into the entertainment industry.

Why Vibestreet

At Vibestreet, we create an authentic and safe space that empowers dancers, providing them with valuable tools that they carry into all areas of life. Many of our dancers begin as young children or teens and go on to become leaders within our studio and the wider dance community. We've seen them pursue successful careers in professional dance and entertainment, while others use the lessons learned here to excel in various aspects of their personal and professional lives.

Ultimately, our mission is to help each dancer become the best version of themselves, whether through dance or in life.

Requirements + Commitment

Our crew dancers must be able to commit to the full season (Sept.-June) and need to be enrolled in a minimum of at least two (2) additional season-long classes to continue to refine their skills outside of crew rehearsals.

Time + Financial Investment

Our competitive program offers much more than just classes—it includes exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime experiences and opportunities! We expect all crew dancers to fully commit, not only by honing their skills and pushing their limits, but also by actively participating in fundraising efforts to help offset the costs associated with the crew. Dedication, hard work, and continuous growth are essential both on and off the dance floor.

details to note

Audition process

  • Arrive to audition early (please arrive ready in appropriate HipHop dance wear.

  • Be prepared to find parking and expect a line up to sign in.

  • Sign-In, get your number, find a space in the studio to warm up/stretch before class begins.

  • We run our auditions like a regular class and then we will have dancers move into studio 2 and bring in dancers in smaller groups and then everyone all together for one final run.

  • We will dismiss dancers.

  • Results will be emailed either way by July 1st

  • Dancer must reply to accept or decline within 24hrs

  • Registration details are also included in acceptance email with deadline

*Please Note: It is important that dancers participate in our summer programs (please get your spot before auditions).

GENERAL AUDITION DETAILS

  • Dancers will be placed in a crew based on the discretion of crew directors.

  • Crew age range, level, details will be confirmed upon acceptance.

  • Dancers who do not receive a crew placement for this upcoming season will be notified as well as given recreational class placement suggestion options for the upcoming fall.

GENERAL crew DETAILS

  • Crews may be added, altered, removed, combined based on various reasons.

  • Placements are solely based on the discretion of director.

  • Age overlap provides opportunity for younger dancers to apprentice up if applicable

  • *Our Studio-Teams (Regulators and Notorious) are an additional competitive opportunity in addition to a main crew. Notorious is the secondary advanced/elite team comprised of selected representatives of various crews with approx 5 choreo setting dates between Dec-Feb.
    *Dancers may not only be in Regulators/Notorious.

  • Crew Director/Choreographers/Days/Times will be confirmed with audition results

  • Dancers who do not register (or communicate) by the deadline (available in the results email) will be removed from our list and spot will be given to the next in line.
